Iona College wanted to convert an existing lower level space into a warmer, more welcoming environment for students to come for academic assistance, yet still allow for privacy and personal attention. Alianza proposed the Herman Miller Resolve system for its ability to provide 120 degree layout without the dimensional creep of a panel system. It can also manage electric and data cables as well as carry a personalized branding statement on its screens.
After being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, principals, Glen and Gary Smith, of The Magnolia Companies hired local architect Antoine Architects to design a new Louisiana corporate headquarters building with the go al of uniting 16 related companies with one corporate image. The Southern Magnolia blossom was identified as the corporate symbol and subtly resonates through the building.
